A Battle Ground for God

Letting God fight your battles for you possibly seems like one of the most backwards things anyone could ever think of. However, ask yourself, “Am I getting anywhere with the person I am fighting with, with the way that I am fight them?” If you don’t see things improving, then it is time to let God take the reins, and don’t take them back. The movie, “War Room” serves as a good example for showing viewers what that might look like, and even if it just seems like everything is just too perfect in the movie, let me ask you this, “When you pray and give things up to God, do things not ever get better? If not right away, then with time?” If you actually do what God wants you to do, He will get in the middle of your situation. He will start to break down walls. He will begin to shed layers off people and change their heart. Be faithful, and he will be faithful. Let us take a gander as some scripture:
Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask for in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Mark 9:29 “And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
James 5:14-16 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.15 And the prayer offered in faith will save the one who is sick (make the sick person well), and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
With this kind of prayer strategy, the Devil will try to slip in and make you stumble. He will give you petty reasons to be angry. He will get into your mind and begin to feed you lies, like “It doesn’t matter, since nobody believes you can do it anyway. You’re just a loser for getting pregnant before you finished your degree. Now, you have no bachelor’s degree, no credentials, and you’re just living the life everyone thought you would live, because you’re too stupid and weak to make anything of yourself.” It is enough to drive anyone into depression, or to give up on their dreams, when in reality, he person’s dreams have only gotten put on hold for the time being.
Satan is also a master at stirring up trouble in close relationships, like a marriage union or between two best-friends. He will use the fact that you know the other person’s strengths and weaknesses to his advantage, so that he can fuel the situation with the party members being able to really dig underneath the other person’s skin by what they say, what they do, or how they act. Not taking notice of something specific that the other person has done for them, would really get to them; as would something done out of spite. They will say things like, “I’m trying to change, but I know that you will never change.” Satan is good at giving us a deaf ear to those that we love, so that they stop listening, so they can be right, so that they will stop caring, and therefore, not have to change at all. That is not what God wants for us. When God is involved, change is good, because He is molding us to be the Godly person that He wants us to be.
When God and Satan are at battle, it transfers into the minds of the people who God is battling for. Satan is bringing up bad memories, emotions, or just flat out distractions, so that they will not stop to pray or to feel or to know whatever it is that God wants them to feel or to know. It takes determination to stand fast in the Lord. It takes strength and courage to do something to push away the Devil like, telling Satan and his demons to leave in Jesus name and declaring the Lord over your life. Satan is in the business of making you miserable. What you pin as your passions, he put in every effort to make them seem unimportant or that they can wait, and for you to go spend your time on unfruitful pleasures. Satan likes to lie to us, telling us that he will give us “the desires of our heart,” but only God knows what that is. God knows us better than ourselves, and only He can give us everything that we desire.
Thank you for being Lord over my life. Thank you for all that you have done for me. Thank you for giving me the gift to spread your word to others. Please raise up a generation of believers, who will allow you to fight for them. Give us not a spirit of fear, but one of courage and peace. May you do the things you do that surpass all our understanding. Please rain your blessing down on this nation, on our government, on our military and police forces, rain your blessing down on us, every one of us, and turn our nation back to God.
